This exceptional Calvados by Pierre Huet bears the AOC Pays d'Auge designation of origin and was aged in oak barrels for six years.
For the final six months, it rested in former Oloroso sherry casks – a full-bodied, rich wine with aromas of nuts, dried fruit, and mild spices.
This final refinement gives the Calvados an exceptional aromatic complexity, in which the classic apple and pear notes blend harmoniously with nuances of raisins, caramel, and vanilla.
Traditional distillation ensures a particularly smooth, full-bodied texture. Served over ice as an aperitif, it reveals its fresh fruitiness, while after dinner it impresses with its subtle aromatics and a pleasantly long, slightly sweet finish. Under optimal storage conditions – constant temperature and humidity – this Calvados can be stored upright for several decades.

The protected Calvados varieties from the House of Pierre Huet are produced by double-distilling various ciders, which in turn are the result of fermenting apples in oak barrels for 12 months.
The first distillation is used to distill the cider. The result is the so-called "petites eaux" at around 30–35% ABV. The second distillation produces the Calvados at 40% ABV.
Le Manoir "La Brière des Fontaines" is a magnificent estate with a long Calvados tradition and probably one of the most beautiful cellars in Normandy. As early as 1941, Pierre Huet's cellar was selected as a showcase for a commission that was to establish the "Calvados" appellation. Perhaps it is not entirely innocent that only the "Pays d'Auge" received its own appellation.
