An elegant Touriga Nacional that impresses with its balance and sensual texture - a wine for connoisseurs who appreciate finesse.
The Touriga Nacional Monte Branco 2019 impresses with its velvety texture and presents itself as sensual and elegant.
It is not the fruitiest Touriga, but that is exactly where its strength lies: everything is perfectly balanced and creates a sensual whole that feels harmonious and seductive.
The tannins are ripe, which means that you can dive in now - the wine is already optimally accessible and shows its full elegance.
Grape Variety & Vinification
100% Touriga Nacional - Portugal's noble grape variety, vinified here in a particularly elegant interpretation.
The wine was aged for 12 months in used French oak with an alcohol content of 14.3% - a moderate value that contributes to the elegance of the wine.
Drinking Recommendation & Aging Potential
Current condition: Optimally drinkable - the ripe tannins make it immediately accessible.
Medium-term aging: The wine should age well and is certainly long-lasting.
Long-term aging: At 10 years and beyond, it is questionable whether it will deliver a great Vin de Garde - rather a wine for medium-term enjoyment.
Recommendation: Perfect for enjoyment over the next 5-8 years, where it can fully express its sensual elegance.
The Winemaker
Luis Louro demonstrates his ability to prioritize elegance over power with this Touriga Nacional. Instead of aiming for maximum fruit concentration, he creates a balanced, sensual wine that emphasizes the noble side of this Portuguese noble grape variety.
