A little history...
Aubenas candied chestnuts were created at the beginning of the last century through the collaboration of Gustave Imbert, an industrialist, and Eugène Contassot, a confectioner from Aubenas.
In 1920, shortly after an interruption due to the war, Gustave Imbert bought out his partner's shares, and the company became known as "Marrons Imbert".
In 1950, Gustave Imbert passed away, and his son Maurice took over. As a perfectionist and lover of his product, he respected the traditional methods of processing the chestnuts, which made up the success and reputation of the company.
In 1993, he passed the baton to his granddaughter Stéphanie Imbert-Nogier, who has been running the company ever since.
